Since two days I’m having issues with sound. I was halfway a movie and wanted to continue the day after and all of a sudden the sound didn’t work anymore. Without my (hardware) setup changing. I’m not quite sure if the PMS or the Plex Apple TV App was automatically updated overnight.
Setup:
Both Server and Player are in same network. So I always use Direct Play for all media files. On the Apple TV Plex App I enabled the advanced video player.
Example media file:
AC3 5.1 audio track: does NOT work
DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio track: does work
Enabling automatic conversion will convert to AAC and then the sound also works.
Does anyone know what might have be the cause of this? It seems silly to me to require AC3 conversions.
