This has been a problem for Plex on my Shield and figured it would have been noticed and fixed by now. When on the details page of a movie and you click the icon of a cast member it should show other movies the cast member is in. Works on the iPhone app and my Samsung TVs, not my shield.

Not a bug. Just unfortunately has never been implemented on Android / Android TV devices. Plex says they’re working on it, but no ETA.
It’s great to see a response but disappointing to hear the reason. It’s nice to see other movies a cast member is in within my own collection. Thanks.

I have Plex client on three(3) devices:
- FireTV
- my android phone
- the web client on my PC
On the PC clicking on a cast member will bring up the “actor” filter by the “castmember” view, which displays all the movies I have that include that cast member. This view is supported on the android version, but the click through to it is NOT supported. This is a huge oversite which makes searching out movies in the living room much less usable.
I found this thread, but can only assume there are larger threads on this topic. It is crazy that this, what should be a very straight forward feature, is not supported on a primary client.
It’s not as straight forward to implement as you believe. Saying something is “easy”, doesn’t make it so.
