Editing Photo Timeline Dates

We need a single and bulk edit option for Photos, namely the Creation date.

Now that I’ve begun using Plex as my primary photo storage, I need to be able to edit what Plex sees as the created date.

Adding thousands of photos from Dropbox, Facebook, Picasa, etc has completely destroyed my timeline view.

There are many photos whose exif data is corrupted or missing and so Plex adds them to my timeline on whatever date I added them.
I would prefer to have them organized by the actual date the photo was taken. So 2007 photos appear correctly in the timeline under 2007, not the date I added them to my hard drive.

In order to do this, Plex needs to allow users to edit the creation date of the photos database.

The issue is the same for video’s. Video’s without a time tag is sorted to jan 1 1900, and shows up first in timeline view (above 2017). I can’t seem to find a way to fix it.

Not sure why I ever expected Plex to support a feature beyond launch… They seem to release features just pin them up on the Plex Pass sign up page.

Any word on if this will make it into an upcoming release?

Maybe 2018 will bring with it some photo library improvements?
