Today when I logged into my Element 4k Fire TV it told me new player features were coming that would optimize video playback but that I could enable the feature now. I did that and ever since I have been unable to “see” any video playback. Plenty of audio, just no video. I’ve tried it on the Android app, web client and desktop app, no problems. HELP!
Please provide me the log from the app so I can see what’s going on. If you just want to reset the app, clear the app data and you can revert back to the old player.
Edit - There is no need for this. There should be an option in the settings to turn off the new player.
Not home at the moment…It was under the main settings in the app.
I do remember it was at the very end of a row of one of the groupings…when I went looking for it, I was scanning the screen for the word “enabled” and found it that way.

Found it, thanks for the insight. It’s simply a setting under advanced that says “New Player”. Thanks, glad I can watch again and hope Plex doesn’t role this out before more testing!
Open the app on the TV, log in with a user, click on the user name after logging in and select settings, then go down to advanced and look for enable new video player and set it to off.
This is also consistent with the issue from the Amazon fire tv we have too. It continues to turn itself on…major pain in the ass because the kids dont know how to turn it off
