Large PlexAmp update came out yesterday. I hoped this would’ve been addressed, but it wasn’t. ![]()
BACKGROUND:
So, for very large libraries with movies/shows/music/etc, the general search is extremely slow. Like 30 seconds. So I’ve disabled music and audiobooks from general search. And it helps tremendously, I can bring the search time down to ~5 seconds.
The problem is, now you can’t search for music or audiobooks, lol. I was hoping that there was a setting to enable search for certain Libraries on PlexAmp but not on Plex.
Or perhaps a special consideration be made in the search UI code for servers with large libraries. For example, if items in the database exceed #, then don’t do a full search of all libraries, but present an option to the user which library they want to search?
