Hi all, first post here.
Been using PLEX for couple of years now and am an annual PLEX pass holder. I’ve enabled a couple of my friends, who work away, to download content from my server.
When they try to download content on their mobile PLEX app it says they need a PLEX pass to continue but when they login to the web app the option to download isn’t there?
Anyone know what on Earth is going on here?
I didn’t think they needed to have a PLEX pass but I would’ve thought the option, if available in the app, should be there in the web player too.
Users are logging in with same account on mobile and web player.
PLEX server running latest version.

- downloading requires a Plex Pass for the downloader
- Plex Downloads is not the same as the Download link you can see, as the server owner in the web app
- Plex downloads are only supported in these apps: Plex for Windows, Plex for Android mobile, Plex for iOS
