hi,
There is a. bug in your dvr channel selection setu.
once tuned it will not enable some channels, even if i tick them off and assign them to valid epg entry.
when i save and go back the settings are as before , only 25 cannels enabled out of 33. theres no way i can get the other 8 to work. ive also tried deleting and adding the dvr again but it will only enable the same 25 channels. any ideas?
Can you try a different zip code? Think about the area you are in and the area your channels are mostly in and pick a zip code that is closer to the broadcast towers. See if that makes any difference?
I don’t know if a different zip would work, since the channels already show a valid entry in the EPG. A different zip should only effect the EPG, not being able to have a channel as active.
Make sure the firmware is up to date on the HDhomerun. You can also try a channel scan on the HDhomerun itself by going to its IP address, and make sure none of the channels have an X next to them. Although that usually stops them from showing in Plex altogether. If you have to update the firmware, then I would delete the DVR from Plex and readd it since it won’t effect on anything you already added to your record list.
Is the problem similar to this?
If not, can you provide a screen shot(s) of what is happening?
No,
the problem is that there are 38 channels available in the hdhomeun tuner.
I CAN see them all in the plex dvr setup interface. But out of all channels i can only activate
25, the other 13 do not save even if i tick the checkbox and assign a valid epg entry.
After i click SAVE, plex web has still only 25 channels out of 38. I’ve tried saving dozens of times
with no success. Its becoming frustrating. The 13 channels I can’t save are always the same ones.
Maybe it’s a permission issue…
As was requested by @kamererhouse can you provide a screenshot? Can you also verify that you can actually view live tv on the channels you are saying you can’t save. Simply seeing them in the list does not indicate that they can be viewed and actually have a signal.
@kamererhouse unfortunately a screenshot does not really show the problem
below is a link where you can see a short video of the issue demonstrated.
@lmartu That is weird.
Are you able to directly tune in and watch each of those disabled channels (like 52 and 54 ) on the hdhomerun tuner using one of the official apps from Silicon Dust? Windows - Android - Apple (3rd party)
If so, I would think it’s not a permission issue.
@kamererhouse yes, all channels work perfectly, with both official and unofficial apps such as channels for IOS
anything???
I’ve got no idea. I have the same device, HDHomeRun CONNECT, but can’t make it do anything similar.
I wonder if there could be some kind of settings database corruption that is preventing it from saving? How long have you been running Plex Server on this machine?
@kamererhouse ive been running it since it was released.
how could i reset the settings database?
Well there’s a couple of options, but what device are you running Plex Server on?

Or last restort:
Ok, i deleted rthe dvr and reinstalled the server and now its working!
