So i have an hdhomerun that has been working fine for about 6 months now. recently i noticed i my shows were not dvr’ing. i checked the recording page in plex and the schedule for the week is empty but everything for last week is there. I then checked the program guide and it is empty telling me to verify channel mapping. So i go into dvr setting and rescan the channels then close the channel scan window that poped up by clicking save. plex then begins to download EPG. It finishes but still nothing shows up in program guide. It gives me the same message “Please verify your channel mappings and refresh the Program Guide”.
So i start from the beginning. I delete the hdhomerun prime by clicking the “delete dvr” button. I click set up plex dvr to find it again. i go thru the process and it ends with a window stating it is downloading the program guide and may take a while. So i click the view program guide button which takes me to the program guide tab and i get the message “Hang tight while we download all the data for what’s on”. After a while i get “Please verify your channel mappings and refresh the Program Guide”.
I do it again and i notice that the EPG downloads to %100 but again the program guide is empty. The hdhomerun prime in plex is showing 553 channels with 497 enabled. In the tuner page (hdhomerun information page thru its ip address) i rescan the channels and it scans fine. The tuner is telling me everything is up. Why is there no channels showing up in plex?
I am running into the same problem (also HdHomerun with plexmediaserver running on Centos). I have tried switching to the plex pass updates channel and getting the latest version of media server (1.9.6.4385) without that correcting the problem. My logs show:

Not sure if this means there is a data problem with the program guide info that is preventing it from being processed, or if something else is going on. Would be nice if the Plex folks are paying attention and will get a fix out soon.
The Plex Team is aware of this issue. A workaround for now is to disable all channels with names that don‘t follow this nomenclature:
012 NAME (Description)
while NAME needs to be uppercase and is not allowed to have spaces.
The bracketed part is optional and can contain spaces as well as lowercase letters.
As soon as you get the note “Downloaded 1234 airings” and PMS downloaded more then zero airings your epg works fine.
The epg scan usually is pretty slow, so don’t worry as long as you got mentioned “Downloaded 1234 airings” note.
In my case the scan can last more than a hour.
There are posts in the Windows forum regarding a problem with SONLIFE. I am using Plex 1.9.6.4385 with HD HomeRun Prime on Frontier FiOS. My program guide was empty, following the suggestion in the thread , I unchecked SONLIFE, Channel 297 on my carrier and guide data started loading.
Funny. I have two hdhomeruns, a prime and a dual. Plex saw the dual but will not use it, guess it is too old. Do not have the sonlife checked on the prime, but checked the dual, and yep it was checked. Unchecked it and the guide loaded. Weird since Plex won’t use the dual.
