A workaround is to change the timezone on the server to SystemV/PST8, which does not observe DST, instead of America/Los_Angeles.
This is exactly the same bug as 12 months ago:
I closed that thread by saying “I hope me marking this as solved doesn’t cause it to be ignored - this is obviously a real bug.”
And it still is, a year later.
I’m having the same problem. It worked great until about a month and half ago, but now all channels when switched to HD channels only come up as unknown airing and nothing will record in HD anymore. I have deleted the DVR then reassigned my tuners to no success. Some threads had suggested setting the timezone to UTC or some option that does not follow DST, and that also did not resolve it. I’m at a loss for how to resolve this issue.
That’s probably not the same bug, as there is no DST transition currently.
Make sure the time zone is set correctly on the server, not just the client.
