It is classifying this file under Season 264 because of X264 lol. I cannot change the folder name and path, is there anything I can do? This seems like a bug. It detects the episode correctly.

I am using the ‘upgraded’ agents.
If you can’t change the name, create a hardlink or a symlink with the correct name (see naming scheme above) and then add the original file name to a .plexignore file.

Unfortunately I just tried it and it still recognised the episode as Season 264. The video filename I used is ShowName2021.S01E23.1080p.WEB-DL.H264.AAC-ACV.mp4
Would you guys be able to advise on a better/proper filename if possible? I will try it.
Name the file “Show Name (2021) S01E23.mp4”.
Same thing. Looks like it’s stuck ‘locked’ to Season 264. Any idea how I can get rid of it and force a rescan? “Scan Library Files” does not work.
Move file out of folder, Scan library, clear trash of library, move file back in, scan library again
And make sure the the entry for the other version of the file in .plexignore is correct
Thanks, that worked. It’s been years and they are still stuck at fixing with this manual method, no improvements at all… It shouldn’t even detect 264 as a season in the first place…
