TV Episode Number 264 not added correctly for shows

Plex doesn’t correctly parse file if the episode name includes x264, such as the Korean TV show Return to Superman. File is named: 01x264 - A Superhero Only for You HDTV-1080p.mp4

Plex adds it as a duplicate to episode 1. I could rename all my files to use S01E264 etc, but it’s a bug regardless.

Does the same with Running Man, Season 2015, episode 264: 2015x264 - The Legendary Detectives Race HDTV-720p.avi

With that file, it doesn’t get added at all and Plex rescans the directory every time without picking it up.

No it’s not. There is only one officially supported naming schema. And you are not using it.

There is software which can help you to rename your files quick and painlessly to a supported filename and folder structure. e.g. Filebot
