Episode Data for The Upshaws does not match TVDB

Episode metadata is incorrect. There are 7 seasons not 5. Episode count per season is incorrect as well. Therefore episode names and descriptions are incorrect after season 2.

Did you set the Episode Ordering of the show to “TheTVDB (Aired)”?

By default, Plex uses data from TMDB, which does list indeed only 5 seasons: The Upshaws (TV Series 2021-2026) - Seasons — The Movie Database (TMDB)
You can change that Episode Ordering for every show, or set the library default to TVDB.

I think this (setting episode ordering to TVDB (aired)) will fix the problem. I setup a test folder with 7 episodes, each set as episode 1. With TMDB ordering, only the first 5 matched. Selecting TVDB (aired) grabbed the correct metadata for the 7 seasons, despite TMDB missing external IDs for the last season.
I have absolutely no idea why TMDB has things ordered like they do. I went onto Netflix and they indeed have the seasons Part 1 - Part 7. I looked on Wikipedia and its says there are 5 seasons. I think I see why. Wikipedia says S2 was released in 2 parts. Same for Season 3. I think that is where the 7 parts comes from.

Where in the settings can I make this change. I have looked and have been unable to locate it.

To set it as library default, edit the library, go to the Advanced tab.

To set it just for this show, edit the show (on its highest level – i.e. not on the season, nor the episode level). Again, on the Advanced tab.

Use the Plex web app.

Thank you very much, this has resolved the issue.
