Episode level extras managment doesn't seem to be working

I followed this guide (Local Files for TV Show Trailers and Extras | Plex Support) but the deleted scenes I have added don’t seem to be showing up under the episodes. I tried refreshing the metadata, rescanning my library, and restarting the server. I am on server version: 1.27.1.5916

Here is a screenshot of the filenames on my server:

Thanks for report. Just wanted to confirm if you are using Plex TV Series agent or another one

Yeah I’m using the Plex TV Series agent.

What client are you using?

As mentioned in the support document, not all Plex clients fully support TV extras.

Note: Certain clients do not yet fully support TV extras but keep an eye out on our forum as our support pages will be updated once official support is available. Currently, the only clients that fully support extras at all levels are the mobile iOS and Android apps. Other apps like the Web client, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku have limited support while the modern TV interface for Smart TVs does not yet have support for any local TV extras.

Oh interesting. It looks like you’re right. I was using the web client which I assumed would be the default client instead of mobile but that seems to not be the case. Just downloaded mobile and I can see the additional content.

Are there any other methods for supporting additional episode level content? I was initially just labeling as part1, part2 but was having an issue with the play order (it would play the first episode part1 and part2 correctly and then skip to the next episode’s part2).

I’m not aware of other methods to identify things at the episode level.

A couple of so-so workarounds:

Use unassigned episode numbers. For example, add 30 to the episode number for the deleted scenes: s01e01 is the Pilot; s01e31 is the deleted scenes for the Pilot. They won’t be listed as deleted scenes, just episode 31, 32, etc. You’ll just have to remember the numbering scheme.

Use a numbering scheme such as deleted scenes = episode number + 30, interviews = episode number + 40, etc.

Yeah, it gets real ugly real quick…

You can also make use of unassigned episodes in the Season 00 / Specials folder. Same caveat that they are just listed with unassigned episode numbers. They will not be identified as deleted scenes, interviews, etc.
