Sorry - I saw Verbose logging somewhere and I mixed that up with Debug.
I don’t have my other Series labeled as two digits seasons unless they go passed 9 and they are doing fine except a few episodes here-and-there that won’t upload the metadata either. But, for troubleshooting’s sake, I did I change it to double digit seasons to see if it helps. If it does, then I’ll take the time to go through and update the rest!
I have uploaded the correct files and a new XML with the updated Season number. Yes, my TV Show Library is pointing directly to /shares/Public/Shared Videos/TV Shows and my Movies is pointing to /shares/Public/Shared Videos/Movies. I’m not having any issues with Movies but thought I should state that as well.
I am not switching my NAS off at night. I can set up a power schedule if that will help.
I have my Libraries being updated hourly.
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
I just changed the library interval to 6 hours and I cleared the Agent Caches. Did a scan and updating metadata but no change. Is there something I need to do after the clearing?

Normally not.
Have you activated the NTP client on your server device? It is crucial that the server has a correct time setting (check the ‘time zone’ as well). Otherwise, encrypted communications may fail.
Seek in the network settings for ‘Jumbo Frames’. These must not be activated.
Jumbo Frames are not activated. NTP is activated with correct timezone and time.
This is interesting:
Once I did the clearing and everything, it doesn’t even look like Plex is fetching the metadata. The Tag icon and spinning doesn’t happen but it says it’s downloading it. Nothing ever changes.
I did add a couple more movies to Plex and those have found the metadata just fine.
I tried with Firefly and it worked just fine. I tried again with Futurama and I see that it’s working but none of the tiles flip like it’s receiving/updating anything.
I even moved Futurama out of the Plex directories, did the dance, added just one season back, dance again and the same thing happens: no metadata. Just Episode 1, Episode 2, etc.
Say, when you are performing the Plex Dance, are you doing all the steps in exact the right order as noted in here: Plex Dance
Because when I look into your log file, it looks like Plex already knows the show.
But that shouldn’t be the case after the Plex Dance has been performed. Sep 03, 2017 13:53:37.935 [0xb4b06ec0] DEBUG - Skipping over directory 'Futurama', as nothing has changed; removing 0 media items from map.
I see in your log files that futurama is still set to DVD ordering. 2017-09-04 17:36:23,106 (-4c7b0b90) : INFO (__init__:884) - Show ordering is DVD: True
For me this may mean 2 things:
you have set it manually to DVD ordering
you did not perform the Plex dance correctly, which, when performed correctly, should have reset it to the default ‘Airdate’ ordering
did you disregard some steps in the Plex Dance or did you change the order of the steps?
Let me verify this on my server. I have some “fake” files which can emulate Futurama.
For some reason, moving to TheMovieDB agent solved all my issues. I still need to test with a wired connection to see if I can sort out issues with TheTVDB. But even on wireless, TheMovieDB metadata downloaded smoothly. So problem averted for me until further tests.
I manually set it to DVD order but that was a while ago. As far as I know, I’m doing the Dance exactly how it’s described in the other post. Remove series from Plex (I’ve even moved it off my NAS), Scan Library, Empty Trash, Clean Bundles, add series back, rescan.
I have tried the MovieDB as well but there’s no change.
Out of curiosity, I Unmatched Futurama and then tried to Match it back manually. Now, there are no series posters. It’s just blank.
If I’m not doing the Dance correctly or need to do something else, please let me know. I don’t remember when I changed it to DVD Order but it was before the last Plex Dance I did.

The Plex Dance can only be performed successfully, if there are no other library updates going on at the same time. You are not updating several libraries in Plex at the same time, right?
‘Cleaning Bundles’ may take quite some time. You should give it 5 minutes at least.

It is important to set a language and to pick the right metadata agent.
After clicking “Search”, it may take quite a while until search results appear.
Sorry if you knew this already, I’m just making sure!
No worries! I’m glad you’re going over the basics just in case. Always good to know.
I think the Library was updating when I did it last time. It seemed to be updating all the time last night for some reason. I’ll try again while it’s not updating.
Should I have Automatically Update checked? Here are my Library Settings:
When I do Empty Trash, it only takes a couple seconds to finish. I thought with Clean Bundles, it would be done after the “warning” goes away which is usually about 10-15 seconds after I press Ok or Start or whatever it is I press.
I’ll try the Dance again and let Clean Bundles run for at least 5 minutes and try again.
A sidenote: I have been using 1999 as the year as that was the year it originally came out. You used 2009, at least that’s what it shows on the pic you sent. I’ll also try 2009 to see if that works.

Leave it off for now. Just to avoid it interfering with our debugging.
Do also disable “Empty trash automatically…”
And for testing purposes I’d also disable “Run a partial scan…”
