Episode Titles not showing up only episode number

Hello,

I’m a mew Plex Server user and I noticed on some of the T.V. series that I’m adding some episodes populate with no problem and others only populate with the episode number.

All of my files are named consistently based on the naming convention recommendation (Sxx Ep xx.ext) I also made sure that the TVDB agent was first on the list. I could copy and paste the information from The TVDB.com into the Plex Media server but that would take forever.

Any ideas?

Hello,

After renaming the whole season using sxxexx and updating the libraries the episodes still only show the number.

Anything else I can try?

Now that you have the filenames, verify that the folder structure is also according to the requirements.

Here is how I resolved the issue for all my T.V. Shows

  1. Renamed all episodes in all seasons using sxxexx
  2. Removed media from Plex Server (which also sent
    everything to my Recycle Bin)
  3. Restored files from Recycle Bin
  4. Updated Libraries on Plex Server
  5. Verified all episode names were present

I had one episode that didn’t have a screen capture (poster) for the episode so I created one to use and it worked great.

Follow this guide if you need to do this in the future. Going to the recycle bin can be risky. :slightly_smiling_face:
