Episodes grouped together - Could someone please check my file names?

Hi, I’m wondering if someone could help me work out why my files are getting grouped.as additional copies of Episode 1. I’m sure I’m getting something wrong but it’s not obvious to me. I’ve done some searching in the forums and I’m sure I have covered the usual suspects.

I thought it was the (#) part of the file names, however, episodes 8, 9, 19 and 20 also have the same name format and are not grouped.

You aren’t quite following the naming convention. Check the link in my signature for how to name TV shows.

Example:

You have the 1973 season recorded…

Battlestar Galactica\Season 01\Battlestar Galactica - s01e01 - Saga of a Star World (1).mkv

Remove all the files from that season to another location outside of the directories that Plex scans, do a library scan (hover over the library and click the three dots, then click scan library files), and verify those episodes are no longer in your library. Rename the files to follow the naming convention, then put them back and do another library scan. See if they show up correctly.

You’re a star!

You’re quite right I left the ‘x’ from thetvdb’s listing when doing my file names. I couldn’t see the wood for the trees. Doh!

Confirmed that simply removing the ‘x’ between the Season and Episode number has fixed it all.
