Episodes that are close enough to end to be marked as watch won't allow rewind/fast forward

Not sure if this is happening for others, but I noticed a few weeks ago that when an TV episode (may do the same for movies, but haven’t tested/noticed) is close enough to the end of the episode to be marked as watched, I can no longer rewind/fast forward. I have noticed on more than one occasion (unsure if it always does it) that I can see subtitles and/or hear audio, but the picture is stuck.

Not a major issue, but an annoyance, as sometimes the little bit at the end of an episode throws a little zinger/stinger or plot point and having to restart the episode and fast forward is a little bit of a pain.

For reference: my server is the latest stable on Windows 10 and my clients are all ShieldTVs

Well known bug for Android/Plex Users. Unfortunately Plex Developers aren’t in the Plex User Group, are unable to reproduce anything, and so far, are so proud of the work they have done on what is probably the worst device app on the surface of Planet Earth - the party at Plex HQ has shown no signs of slowing down. If there are streets at Plex HQ, Plex Developers are dancing in them.

The great Exo-Player 2 Experiment isn’t exactly the miracle cure for Android everyone at Plex thought it was going to be, but no one at Plex HQ is aware of any issues.

Plex doesn’t seem to care much - at least not enough to do anything about it. I, along with many others made mention of the issue months ago, but this issue is easy to overlook if:

  1. You don’t use Plex on an Android Device
    or
  2. You don’t use Plex
    or
  3. You don’t read the Android Forum - where Plex users point out shortcomings of the Plex App for Android

and apparently Plex qualifies for all 3 of those conditions.

Correction - it IS a major issue - if you ever tried to back up a little to see something in the credits you missed, but apparently Plex Developers don’t watch credits and feel anyone that does is wasting their time.

Credits… pffffft… whiners…

It’s where they all hang out together giving each other support, 'cause it’s pretty dam clear at this point no support from Plex is ever going to arrive - with all the other stuff users don’t want taking tip-top priority - it’s no big surprise. It’s also easy to miss the mention of a bug in the Android Client - on the Android Forum - when so many other bugs in the Android Client are like the waters of a raging tsunami - that can’t be slowed by mere mortals.
