Error 22004 Plex Arcade

Plex Server: 1.22.2.4282

I just subscribed to this from the plex arcade and with this CoreManager program I have downloaded the super nintendo dll, I have picked up a game but when loading it gives me the error -22004 (Unknown) and I don’t know how to fix it .

For what it’s worth, I’m testing it in a virtual machine created by my nas qnap, I don’t know if I will have to see it or not, I have also checked the xml of the plex retrocores and it seems that the mapping of the dll is correct as it appears in the videos. I don’t know what to do, please someone help me I don’t know what to do !!!

Hello,

I have been working on my own plex arcade server for a few weeks and learned a few tricks. I hope this info helps you fix your issue :wink:

1- Make sure you go checkout the Plex Arcade FAQ page to make sure that your setup works with the info they provide. Quote - Plex Arcade is not currently supported on “headless” servers or for Windows users using a third-party tool to run Plex Media Server “as a service”

One option if your setup is not supported is use a spare server (My current setup) to run your Plex Server and use something like this so you don’t need a display - Display Emulator from Amazon

2- Make sure you have a good rom that works with your core. Best way to verify is use a program called RetroArch and test your Roms and Cores together to make sure they work before trying to implement them. I have used this technique to fix and verify most of my games / cores.

Here is a list of Cores that are working for me for the different types of game systems:

platform=“Arcade” core=“mame_libretro” ← Note: Plex provided core
platform=“Nintendo Entertainment System” core=“fceumm_libretro”
platform=“Super Nintendo Entertainment System” core=“snes9x_libretro”
platform=“Nintendo 64” core=“parallel_n64_libretro”
platform=“Sega Genesis” core=“picodrive_libretro”
platform=“Game Boy Advance” core=“mgba_libretro”

3- This is still a new service in the works basically still in beta, so still some kinks to work out but so far is a really great addition to Plex. On that note I have found the browser support doesn’t work really well or at all / will give an error a lot of times like for you. For me to test and play the games the only systems that worked well was iPhone app or AppleTV app. If your android then I assume the equivalent, Android phone app or Android TV app would be your best bet to currently test and use to play your games.

I have already found the problem as it is a virtual machine the plex server detects that it is not a physical machine and that is why it does not work on my laptop I have installed the games in the same way and it works perfectly, so for now it does not work only it works on physical machines and not virtual

The error is this one ~ Error Codes - 22004 (DirectX (Direct3D) Device Failure) – Parsec
