How do I solve this? Or does a dev need to solve this? (the error doesnt appear in the logs)
I am running a windows 10 pro machine with gt1030 and intel uhd graphics 630, both enabled, which is the only option in my bios. The bios always enables the uhd630, and can only disable it’s multi screen stuff. The GT1030 cannot be disabled anyhow.
I Will try later today. I have to reinstall Windows, since driver updating and using the new Plex Alpha version made things worse. I cannot even access Windows with power cut after 15 seconds(plexmediaserver load time).
Put simply, an application should never be able to cause the system to spontaneously power off. This indicates that you have a problem in the OS/drivers or the hardware. An application causing a spontaneous power off is simply a fault in one of those two because they share the responsibility in ensuring that an application cannot do exactly that.
Given what your video shows, this really looks like a hardware failure and I’d likely blame the GPU. It is also possible that it may be the power supply as bringing up the GPU into a higher-power mode may spike a current draw from the power supply in excess of what it can handle and its response to this is to cut power.
Sadly these days getting another GPU or power supply to test with is not as easy as it should be but that’s the best next step to try.
1- I found out my cables to my cpu where burnt to the point that the cables had no protective shielding with on of the cables being cut(yes, cut, so only 3 of 4 power cables were connected to my motherboard cpu connector.
2- after solving this problem, the problem continued, but this time it seems related with playback on gpu B (gt1030, with only nvdec) and trying to transcode on Intel igpu UHD630.
This kills the power of the whole system once more. This issue does not occur when transcoding with playback to other device.
Only when trying to transcode on GPU A (,igpu) and playback on GPU B(Nvidia gt1030, no nvenc)…
The cpu problems happen because this prebuilt motherboard is ■■■■, and has only 4 pin cpu for i5-8400. This 4 pin is Just burning the cables when I try to use full load on C0 bios setting.
I thought it was related to Plex, of which I still think IT Partly is. Namely using 2 gpu on same system for use with Plex simultaniously.
