Error code: s1001 (Network)

I started having an issue a few days ago after everything had been fine for over a year. Some files give me an Error code: s1001 (Network) error. If I choose to skip the error or hit the skip track option it just plays the movie anyway. The files are all fine ( I’ve played them with VLC and so is the hard drive I’ve scanned the drive for errors.)I’ve deleted the library and rebuilt it. I’ve also run the repair option on Plex, but no luck so far. Anyone help?

The skip option only exists on Plex webui. No such option in the Android or Roku apps so can’t watch anything ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I’m really starting to wonder why the hell I’m giving money to Plex every month. The experience is going from bad to worse all the time.

All this focus on adding BS web sources that noone wants all the while breaking the core functionality that people actually use the server for.

If someone can let me know when I’ll be able to play my media again that would be great.

I uninstalled Plex server and then reinstalled it. That solved it. The problem was created by the previous update. So I downloaded Plex server, installed it, then chose to skip the update, and it seems to have fixed things.

That’s the second big broken update this year :grimacing:

Server update just now, no fix.

Android app crashing every time I try and play as video and Roku giving an error. 1001 error in webui which can be worked around as described above.

Expresso99 can you please specify which exact version you rolled back to in order to get working again? Thanks :v:

I haven’t tried the update that was just released yet, however the stable server version for me is currently 1.15.2.793. I updated from .793 and had the issue, I uninstalled Plex downloaded the latest server installer which was .793 installed that and issue was gone.

I just saw that an update is available. I will try it tonight and see if it breaks again or not.
