Hey - I’ve had my plex running for years with no problems. Suddenly, whenever I try and play a file I get a ‘PLAYBACK ERROR’ and the text:
An error occurred trying to play “watch?v=IsdCGQbbd8k”.
Error code: s1001 (Network)
I can then choose to ‘Skip’ or ‘Retry’
If I skip the video file will play BUT it can only get that option on the computer that is attached to the actual library hard drive.
I have tried uninstalling and installing afresh, removing the library and making a new one, plus ‘optimising media’, re-scanning the media etc etc… but still it doesn’t work.
I notice this has happened to others, but no clear resolution. Interestingly EVERY file I try and play has the same message: An error occurred trying to play “watch?v=IsdCGQbbd8k”.
I am not that confident clicking around under the hood on Plex, so any advice gratefully receieved
Thanks! As of a recent update? I am also having the same exact issue and i have an error message of l40oCqA6zvM. Amazon App will not play at all but on the PC, I also get the Retry which does not work and the Skip option, which will play after this selection
hey @ezdowait - thanks SO much for your help. unfortunately the advice isn’t entirely clear for solving this problem. How can i take this info and solve the problem
Thanks!
Joff
Sorry that may have been unclear.
I went to settings / Extras I had a URL for Youtube in the Movie pre-roll video section. Once I removed the URL, everything started working again.
I believe the URL (not important) was some PSA i was using for testing playing from Youtube to play before i played a movie and apparently that video no longer exists and with this recent update, is why the Amazon App failed to play but locally via PC, with same error you could choose Skip and it would play. So checking that Movie pre-roll section may help you?
WOW! I had the same problem, i could not watch some movies on my iphone or other computers and was getting the same error then deleted the youtube link like you said and everything works GREAT now thanks for the info!
I don’t have anything on this section and it’s still giving me that error. What else do you recommend for me to check this started with the last plex server upgrade. Version 1.17.0.1709
