Hi,
I was playing my everything fine until last week when I tried to add a new series to the series folder. It showed fine in the catalog, but it didn’t played with the Error code: s1001 (Network) .
I tried to remove and reinstall the server. Now, all series have the same error.
I looked for some older threads, but it didn’t provided me any solution. Any ideias ?
Just adding more information. I tried to check the database as some of the old threads stated… It is clean no errors. I still can play the files.
Checking the log I see
Aug 14, 2023 15:20:40.714 [0x700006d94000] ERROR - [Req#105/Transcode] MDE: video has neither a video stream nor an audio stream

Aug 14, 2023 15:20:40.714 [0x700006d94000] ERROR - [Req#105/Transcode] Streaming Resource: Cannot make a decision because either the file is unplayable or the client provided bad data
The file plays fine on VLC. It is a mkv file, a H264 AVC Part 10 with AC3 English sound track
Rolling back to version 1.32.5.7349 it played one of the series files. The other one it didn’t. I can see that the file is 4K DoVi (HEVC Main 10) with AC3 in a MKV wrapper. The message it’s different now, it says the colour space is not supported
Having the Same problem on my Mac. What is the solution?
When is Plex going to correct this issue? They need to provide a solution otherwise will find another provider for streaming videos to TV.
Any new media added shows fine in library but throws Error code: s1001 (Network) when I attempt to play. Have tried with multiple new files, all the same behavior.
FWIW I downgraded my Plex back to Version 1.32.5.7349 and I am not getting the s1001 error anymore.
Will hold here for now.
I had upgraded on the beta channel to troubleshoot an issue where Plex was crashing pretty regularly. So after this downgrade, I just made a cron job to check to see if PMS is running,a nd if not, start it.
Ha. I did exactly the same and it’s working perfectly again. I was just about to let people know, but you beat me to it. I went back to the same version you downloaded. Files that were unplayable within Plex, thanks to the s1001 error are now perfectly happy again. And so am I, now my Plex is no longer broken…
I am also getting this error starting just yesterday. I have uninstalled and installed an order version, I deleted all libraries and recreated them, I rebuilt the database, checked all settings and still I get this error.
Rolling back didn’t work for me, anyone else figure this out?
I would also like to know this (i posted here) for a rogue music file not working (latest lil wayne album). if i download the file within plex (3 dots → “save”), the file plays totally fine on my remote windows pc accessing plex (not the server itself - the server is running on unraid)
