Been trying for a few days now to get any of my movies to play on the Plex App on my Xbox one. All of my films and TV shows are just showing up with the error message “There was an unexpected error” "Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems. The files are held on a Synology Nas but normally play easily through the Xbox app. What’s happening?
Any help would be appreciated.
I’ve been getting the same message. It also pops up on my LG TV.
Same, can’t watch any of my movies, always “unexpected error.” I tried re-linking, because said movies are working on my PC (which is about 18 feet away), but still no fix. Really sucks.

Updating the Plex server on my PC did the trick. I dont know why it took so long for me to realize this would help.
I’m getting the same error on my xbox one which has the most up to date app, however it works when I access my friend’s server. I confirmed my server is running Version 1.7.5.4035 so I remove that is the most up to date version.

I was getting the same error as well trying it on my XBOX One X and then I updated the Plex Server on my Western Digital NAS and refreshed the library from the XBOX One X app and everything worked perfectly. The Plex server version I am running on my NAS is Version 1.14.1.5488.
Brill thanks guys. I updated the version on my NAS and refreshed the entire library. works fine now on the XBOX but still a few faults with using it on my LG TV through Media Link. But as long as the XBOX is working fine, I am happy.
