Uexpected error

Hi, this is my first time using this forum, so here goes. I am running Plex Media Server on Windows 7, Plex Version 0.9.12.4. I have been having this issue for a week now. the first time was last week. I was trying to browse the TV library and i kept receiving “Error, Unexpected error, An unexpected error occurred. Please check you device is connected to your network and try again.” I tried again and again and no joy, I then tried accessing the TV shows on the recently added choice and was able to see the TV shows. It then happened with the Movies library and the TV shows browser started working, same thing, browse would not work. I received the same error message. All this is happening when i access Plex using my Xbox One. I tried using the Xbox 360 and it worked fine until today, i started receiving the same error. Help!

please edit your post to move it to the Plex for XBOX One category.

Click on Edit (wheel) and then on the Category drop down - select Plex for XBox One

Thanks sa2000!

@Age1369 I’ve been having a similar issue too. For me, the cause was a corrupt library database. Close Plex, move the file com.plexapp.plugins.library to somewhere safe like Desktop, run Plex and create a test library with one video in it. If this video works in the apps, then replace the com.plexapp.plugins.library file with a backup.

If there is a corrupt database it would be easy to establish from the Plex Media Server.log
Similarly if the Plex Media Server.exe process is crashing there would be dmp files created

You can run with Debug logging on the server and restart the server and when the issue arises find the Plex Media Server.log and upload together with indication of what the error was and what time
See Reporting Issues with Plex Media Server support page

If the server process is crashing then look for crash dmp files as well as the Plex Media Server.log
