Since the app update went live, I get “Error Ocurred Source Error” message when streaming remotely ONLY on Android app. I can stream to Chromecast or from my web browser on Windows just fine remotely, but Android app is broken for remote streaming (it streams fine from within the server’s own WIFI network)
Try downgrading to this known good old build prior to the new app design and see what happens:
Same problem here. The old apk at least has me back up. Wonder what the goof up is.
Glad the old apk got you back up and running. I’ll just sit on this server and app version combo until things get… ironed out.
I have the same problem, previously when I would disable the VPN, it would work fine. Now it will not work at all.
Yes, downgrading the app worked. Is there any way to ensure that the development team is working on this? Or do we just wait for newer updates and pray that they fix it?
I’ve seen this same issue in another thread, but if you want to file a formal bug and tag one of the folks from Plex like BigWheel or ChuckPa so they see it, that would ensure it gets flagged for work.

Same here, it wasn’t broken but they broke it’s functionality so it could look prettier… I’m so mad I paid for this right now
Seeing the same issue while changing between mobile data and WIFI.
Only happens with the IOS / Android Client and not the web client.
Still having this problem. Client: 2025.21.0 on Android 16. Server: 1.41.9.9961 on Linux. Have attempted to remove / reinstall the client app, no joy.
