Error on scrap

Hello,
I’m using Plex Media Server since a long time now with a lot of pleasure … !

Thanks to the developper for their hard work !

My configuration is Intel Synology NAS, Plex 1.3.0.3059.

I’m encountering a strange problem since yesterday. I’ve added a lot of movies and series, move some folder to split my collection at different server.
Now some of my items are scanned, but my poster, fanart, etc, all jpg file and nfo files aren’t used by Plex …
I’m using Tinymediamanger to write my NFO and fanart files, on Plex I use agents XBMCNfoTVImporter and XBMCNFOMovieImporter, again, all was working fine before … And now my TV Series don’t display fanart files and synopsis of episodes, same thing for movies.

I’ve looker on my logs and see this :

2016-12-06 23:33:25,223 (-c0004c0) : CRITICAL (storage:60) - Exception reading file /volume5/Series/Chicago Med/season01-poster.jpg (most recent call last):
File “/volume1/@appstore/Plex Media Server/Resources/Plug-ins-6277334/Framework.bundle/Contents/Resources/Versions/2/Python/Framework/components/storage.py”, line 55, in load
f = open(filename, mode)
IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: u’/volume5/Series/Chicago Med/season01-poster.jpg’

Can somebody help me to understand this ? I suspect file permission, but, I’ve checked they are allowed to my usual users, I’m not sure how to add Plex on this group, but, what I can say is, Plex, on Synology User Permission window, is allowed to access this folders 'where the movie/TV Series are).

So what can I do ?

Thanks in advance for your help, and sorry for my bad English :’(

Best regards,
Alex.

“Permission denied” on ‘/volume5/Series/Chicago Med/season01-poster.jpg’
Check this file permissions specifically or delete the file.
Since the agent crash, you need to stop and start plex again btw…

Hello, and thanks @ZeroQI for your reply !

I’ve try to stop and start Plex, without changes, I’ve try to remove the file, and place it back, without changes … I’ve try a lot of things without results, I don’t understand what happen …

Somebody knows how to check permissions for Plex ? On Synology system Plex have access to the folder, on local file I see Alex:users as file permission …
Plex is administrator account, so normally if folder access is ok, it should don’t take care of file permissions, no ?

Thanks in advance for your help !

Best regards,
Alex.

In theory you are correct, but something is off permission wise.
One would ssh into the synolkogy and check linux permissions, but the GUI would do
What happens if you add plex account rights to this file, restart plex, do you still get the same error?

Thanks again for your reply @ZeroQI !

Yes, I’m pretty sure it’s something about read/write permission, but when I check file permission (Linux, not Synology GUI), I see :
-rwxr–r-- for file, I assume if I’m not saying something wrong it’s : chmod 755
drwxr-xr-x for directory, I assume it’s 755 too …
Normaly my file permission should be ok … I don’t understand …

I’ve try with Plex:Plex for files, it’s not working too …
I will give a try to file permission checking, I’m trying to unmount my volume and doing a check … I’ll come back to give result !

Thanks again for your help !
