Stumped - single movie won't import due to "permission denied"

Running Plex on my Synology, it’s up to date (and have tried this on multiple versions). Everything working great - most movies scan in without any manual intervention. Once or twice a month, I have to go in and manually re-scan library to get files to import but I have one movie that no matter what I try I can’t get it to import. Nothing unusual about the movie title (no special characters etc), and I’ve tried a handful of different files/sources but in my logs
ERROR - Error opening file ‘"/volume1/Media/Movies/[MOVIE NAME]"’ - Permission denied (13)
when I examine the file, all users have access to Read/Write (and again, many other movies scan in with no issues whatsoever) nothing different was done to acquire this content than I would otherwise so I’m at a loss.
Already tried all the other stuff like moving the folder/files, optimizing db, cleaning bundles, emptying trash, rescanning etc
any other ideas?

What is the permissions on both /volume1/Media/Movies/[MOVIE NAME] and /volume1/Media/Movies ? ideally the 0665 or whatever value yours is set to.

Permissions for directories would be ‘7’ or ‘5’.
Permissions for files would be ‘6’ or ‘4’.

well i’ll be damned… i swear i looked and the file itself had the same (correct) permissions as the folder, but it looks like I was clearly wrong. Applied folder permissions “to subfolder and files…” rescanned and it worked like a charm.
Now the real question - how is that even possible? Ive had movies download and scan in just fine both before and after using an identical setup with radarr and nzbget… why this ONE file somehow end up the wrong permissions? I even tried like 10 different versions of the file (re-downloaded i mean). Color me confused… but at least it’s working now.
