Somethings Wrong

I did - still nothing - now what?

You jumped into a non-related thread, so moved to a new thread

Now please state you problem, as detailed as possible, and also do note, that hopefully community will respond before I do, since close to 02:00 at night here in Denmark

I am sorry, the problem is Plex is not seeing any of the pictures, movies on the server

No one is going to understand because I have no idea what you guys want
I have setup the directories - I have connected them to the server
I have pictures - movies in the directories
nothing is being shown in Plex

How is it not related? its the same thing I am dealing with

Lets start at the beginning. Can you define your problem? Ideally with screenshots, and then can you post your server logs?

Plex is not seeing my files on the server - thats the issue
I see no error messages
I don’t know what could be causing the issue because I have nothing telling me there is anything wrong
I feel like giving up !! lol

Ok, next step would be to post your server logs and see if anything there is enlighting

So that appears to be your NAS syslogs, what happens when you go to http://[Local Plex Media Server IP Address]:32400/web ? (IE http://192.168.1.1:32400/web )

Nothing, same

was you expecting a different log?

OK, that is more useful:
Sep 16, 2022 17:37:11.205 [0x7f5d5e713b00] ERROR - [Notify] Failed to add watch for "/volume1/Videos - Dogs" (13: Permission denied)

See Synology FAQ - Questions, Answers, and a few How-To's - #25 by ChuckPa
and FAQ 19: Setting permissions to allow Plex access to media files

I have no idea how to give this crazy thing Permission, I have set everything I can see or get into to read/write - still no access - no files are showing up - nothing is working - images in the directions must be OLD - nothing looks like what I am looking at

See Synology - DSM 7 Release - Plex Installation (Not Operational) Issues - #358 by ChuckPa

FYI, this is not a permissions problem (even though it says permission denied).

The Linux inotify table size has been exceeded and needs to be expanded.

The procedure is covered in FAQ 16.

FAQ 16: Increase the number of folders Plex can monitor

Sorry picked one of several permission denied messages:
Sep 16, 2022 15:48:23.516 [0x7fa5fc914140] ERROR - Failed to create iterator to "/volume1/Videos - Dogs": Permission denied
Which is why I pointed to how to fix permissions.

Gotcha. Several issues to fix.

Hello, thanks for all your help, its been fun but do you think I should just start all over with the install and everything?
I can’t get Plex to see the server so I have no idea how to fix, you have been trying but I know how difficult this must be for you guys
