Error playing movie files after todays update deployment

Player Version#: na

today I processed the announced update. No issues during the installation. But now movies files aren’t playing anymore I receive an error message:
" Afspeel fout
Er is een onverwachte fout opgetreden tijdens het afspelen. Bezoek ons forum als je de problemen blijft ervaren"

I have stopped and started the Plex server but no result. The file location is not changed and files are playing with VLC via the normal explorer interface.

Please advise.
