Extra details
i used windows storage space.
i then upgraded from lots of little hard drives till just 2 big 16 tb.
after i removed that storage space. plex server not been working, and when uninstalling plex server and dl a fresh install, i always gets that error.
plex media player works just fine.

bonus:
lost all my 20 tb movies + series :smiley: so hey 2021 <3
lots of stuff i cant get again. So plex media server not working for me is just a cherry on top.
also used 3 days of none stop recovery without luck. but thats a whole other bedtime story

yea you only learn from your mistakes. i just had no idea this could happen. im heart broken … windows…

alright so i made it work like this:
installed iobit uninstaller.
installed plex.
removed plex with iobit.

  • it then removed EVERYTHING and there was a lot.

installed plex
things are working <3
