Error: "there was an error uploading this artwork · try again" - Synology

Running Plex on Synology DS718+ with DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 1
Plex Version 1.13.9.5456

Just installed Plex on my Synology but all the Posters for my movies are the same as the “background”, ie: screenshots. All metadata info is OK.
I’ve tried using the the manual method of “enter a URL”, but I get the error: “there was an error uploading this artwork · try again”. The URL is valid as if I type it directly into my address bar the image loads OK.
If I save the image to my Desktop, I can drag & drop the image successfully.
Any idea why I can’t use the URL method? (And this would explain why non of my movies show the correct Poster image).

I got this fro the logs:

Thanks for that reply, very informative.
Weirdly, my TV Programmes (inc. seasons), got the posters added as expected.
I’m just puzzled why I can’t manually add a poster to a movie via a URL without Plex giving me an error. I’ve checked permissions for the Plex folder in Synology’s FileStation and they look correct (full access for user “plex”).
Drag and drop an image file into the Poster section and it works fine.
