Eversolo DMP-A6 as a player

Is it possible to make Eversolo DMP-A6 visible as a player in the Plexamp application? Perhaps this requires cooperation with Zidoo.

You might want to take a look at this thread…

Whoever writes this has no idea what I’m writing about, what I mean and what I’m missing. The thing is that in the application for: Android, iPad and Win10, Eversolo DMP-A6 cannot be included among the players available on the network. Only Chromecast and DMP-A6 based devices are not the same. The idea is to be able to select DMP-A6 as the player and control the Plexamp apk from iPad, Win10 or Android.

Plexamp apk does not see DMP-A6 as a network player.

Yes, the DMP-A6 player can run Plex, but it only detects the local library and does not see my Tidal account. Using Plex on the DMP-A6 is very limited and only possible via the Eversolo Cast apk.

I use plexamp apk on a6 and it connects to the Plex Server on my NAS. I can remote to it via Plex for Android on my phone, no issues. Furthermore, with the latest a6 firmware 1.2.10 I can use Plex natively in the a6 directly from the Eversolo Android app. Search is yet to be added in that native app.

Do you know the principle of operation of Roon on DMP-A6?

If you use Roon, e.g. you have Roon Core or Roon Server on your laptop, you control Roon using the apk. Roon Remote, e.g. in Android and there you can select DMP-A6 as a player and control music on DMP-A6. using the Roon Remote application (Roon Remote sees the DMP-A6 as a player on the home network. This means that in the Plexamp application it is not possible, e.g. on Android, and it would be a breakthrough and a big improvement. So don’t say that, for example, the functionality of the application Plexamp for Android is the same as Roon Remote with DMP-A6. Plexamp APK does not see DMP-A6 as a player.

I installed Plex server on my laptop and Apk Plexamp on Win10 and Plexamp on Android to control music. When I click the CAST icon in the Plexamp apk, DMP-A6 is not shown there, so I cannot control the music from Plexamp on Android

You see, this screenshot doesn’t show DMP-A^ in the network as a player, so how can you control music from the Plexamp apk and send it to the DMP-A6 player which is not on the list???

This is what it looks like in Roon Remote, the DMP-A6 player is visible in the local network

M8, I dont care about Roon, Plex works for me. Final stop!

Are you trying to tell me that in the apk you see Plexamp, DMP-A6 as a player like in the first photo, where is Pixel 7 pro and Chromecast?

Show picture of Plexamp APK where you can see DMP-A6 as a player. !!!

If the DMP-A6 is not visible in the Plexamp APK, how can you control the music?!

Roon was only given as an example for those who know him. If you don’t know it, it’s hard, but the functionality of Plexamp with DMP-A6 is zero.

Let’s get the facts straight. In the Ever Solo Android app or directly in the Ever Solo player, you can use Plex, but with less functionality because it only sees local files on the web and doesn’t see your Tidal account. I would like it and I mean the ability to control music on the local network and Tidal via the Plexamp application, but not the one built into Eversolo, only on Android and that is the main difference. I am writing about this and the photos are from the Plexapmp APK app for Android. Eversolo is not there as a player.

Two more comments. There is no need to tense up, because our conversation concerns functions that do not exist or are underdeveloped. Secondly, the functionality of the Plexapmp application is much better than Eversolo, because it complements and combines resources from local files with tidal, similarly to Roon. Then there is better exploration of music, better suggestions, etc.,:wink::upside_down_face::sweat_smile:

This isn’t drunk texting with your mates, it’s a web forum… Try one detailed post instead of a half dozen posts in a row. Good grief.
