everytime I disable a new video player every time there’s any Plex update enables this is really annoying specially for people that are less tech-savvy know how to disable it.keep having to do it for them all the time.

Please stop making sweeping statements like this. You are but one person. I have no problems with the new player.

To both your points, new player is mostly ok, however when disabled it should stay disabled.

Also having the same problem after every update. I hate the new player as well
FireTV: I have to say I use both. The new player does some things better, while omitting other useful things and, of course the new player is annoying when it locks up more often than the old player.
It’s a crap shoot, really, but whatever state it’s in, I’ll be changing soon enough and know exactly how to get to it.
When you pause the OSD doesn’t come up:
The Kominsky Method - Chapter 13 - 21:30 - Pause (you’ll know when). You don’t need an OSD - at least not right then.
As you stack FFs or RWs a counter tells you how many you’ve got.
There’s a few.
I still use the old player - when I want to have Lock-Up Races with the New Player.

I barely remember the old player apart from how badly it sucked.
The FireTV app has Suck built right into it - no matter what player you’re using. They both have their pros and cons.
A 5/10/30 frame advance would be epic ‘in some spots’. Put that in a ‘New Player’.

Well you know how I used to feel about the Shield.
Maybe one day you will be telling us how Plex have totally nailed the AFTV? 
Seriously though. I now follow release threads here on the forums in the vain hope we ever get actor thumbs on Android TV. Beyond that I’m just happy watching my stuff.

you can add me as a second person that cannot stand the new player. it sucks. hands down. i have an nvidia shield and the old player is much much better imo. being able to hit down on the control pad to access and edit the playlist is one of the main things i use, i came here specifically to see if there was a way to stop plex from constantly changing my player to the new crap. leave the setting alone. change your updates to ignore it.

Those are both decent points, especially the OSD staying down when paused. I’ll take the old interface with these two features please. Or just let me keep the old player and stop switching me!
