[existing] Managed Users no longer have access (all clients)

Tried on Samsung, Windows, Android and web.

My “main” account works fine. All Managed Users no longer see my server. They only see “Home” and a constantly spinning icon that never resolves. I added a new managed user, and that user works fine.

So, of course, one solution is to remove my users and re-add them, but then I’ll lose all watched status, etc.

This appears to have started in the last 12-24 hours only.

My server is running via Docker. I’ve tried pulling a new update, but there is none since I last updated (so I’m on latest). Yes I did the password reset since the breech, as well as signed out of everything, got a new token, and all that.

Please determine the actual version number.
The “latest” available via auto update is pretty useless, because it depends on a number of factors which version will be announced as available.

You can go to
Settings - [server name] - General
to see the currently running server version.

If the server is not accessible for whatever reason, stop and restart the server. Then look at the server logs, at the file Plex Media Server.log
The version number will be at the very beginning.

Fair enough. I (incorrectly) assumed that when I issued the pull command that I was getting the latest, but I understand your point now.

I’m on Version 1.42.1.10060

As an update: I don’t know why it happened, but all the Users in Plex Home lost access to all libraries. I went in and re-enabled access to the libraries and everything seems good again, including watched status (although I haven’t tested extensively at this point).

Most likely you inadvertently deleted your server’s identity when you tried to reclaim it.
Reclaiming a server should be possible without changing its identity and losing all the shares.
