Even though I can enable the port and supposedly access it remotely (so it says) I cannot accesss ANY other shared servers, I cannot access any content from external sources (mobile/tv/webapp).
port fowarded fine, tried other ports, exposed entire host without any issues canyouseeme confirms port is open correctly.
disable and renable remote access works for 10 seconds and kicks out
changed ports(32400 private to 32401 public), server ip(within same subnet), dns(fallback to public quad1) and all I could(googling upnp settings etc) and still the same issue.
edit2;
accessing via ddns works… for local server only but no video playback is working, only metadata etc.
debuglog, just a bunch of retries to connect and server tests, nothing interesting
but during troubleshooting I fired up chrome incognito, and guess what, it works fine… wtf. on local ip, on ddns and on app.plex.tv all work as expected…
go to remote access … “Not available outside your network”. I don’t even know anymore… somethings really broken. all 3 show this.
okay, going down that trail, wiped cookies and went through recreating sessions.
At one point checked my browser and was down to chrome plugin, Privacy Badger. Somehow out of nowhere Plex decided to change how it handles cookies/sessions for external servers…including local server as well…
anyway, disabling for site/s or allowing individually resolved the issue.
any official statement from plex about this change?
