External subtitles not working

After the last update my plex doesn’t recognize the subtitle file from the same folder of the movie. Can anyone help me please?

How are the video files and the accompanying subtitle files named?
Did you recently disable ‘Local Media Assets’ under ‘Agents’?

Try performing a repair installation of Plex server, like so:

  • Stop/quit/end Plex Server with the tray icon
  • deinstall Plex Server with the regular ‘Apps’ control panel of Windows (do not use 3rd party ‘Uninstaller’ software like Revo etc.)
  • for safety, reboot Windows
  • download a fresh copy of the installation exe from ‘Downloads’ below and install it
