- Always use
SxxEyyas season and episode number code. - Include the release year of s01e01 in the top folder name.
- Don’t replace invalid characters of the title
:with other characters, but simply omit them - Enclose the part of the file name which contains arbitrary information, which isn’t used for matching in [square brackets].
- You can indicate the language of the subtitle by inserting the language code right before the file name extension.
e.g. an Italian subtitle is indicated by

We had already made this speech and I had already tried to change the syntax to no avail.

Did you refresh metadata for the whole show (not just the single episode)?

If you open the subtitle file in notepad.exe, or notepad++, or Subtitle Edit,
does it say that it is encoded as “UTF-8”?
It should not use a legacy 8bit national character code set.
What kind of drive is your drive E: ?
Is it internal in the server? Or is it something else?
Do you have a .plexignore file stored somewhere on there?

Please enable debug logging in your server settings.
Stop and restart the server.
Move the episode and its subtitle file temporarily to someplace outside of a Plex-watched folder.
Scan the library,
Empty the library trash.
Add the episode back.
Scan the library.
wait 2 minutes
fetch the server logs

Can you post or send me the log you sent before? I’ll take a look.
Thank you for your availability, but I would prefer that someone from the staff would view the log, both for the personal data contained in it and for the necessary expertise.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I doubt you can interpret a log better than some staff technician 
I would have expected someone on staff to try to figure out what this strange bug might be due to 
no solutions?
