Extra line in Lyrics

Server version: 1.19.2.2702 running on Linux Mint 19.3
Player version: 4.32.1 (Plex Web)
Browser: Firefox 75.0 (linux Mint version)

I have a very odd thing going on with lyrics in a track. I have the following files:

This is an excerpt from the .lrc file:

And a screenshot from Plex Web showing the lyrics:

Note the current time of the playback (1:16). This confirms the location in the .lrc file. As you can see, the line outlined in red on the Plex Web screenshot does not exist in the .lrc file. It would be line 25 if it existed. The lyric timer jumps past the extraneous line, so nothing is thrown off, but I can’t figure out why the line is appearing in Plex Web.

I have tried the following, not necessarily in order (refreshing metadata after each change to the file):

  • Editing the .lrc file, I deleted lines 24, 25, and 26 and re-typed them to assure there are no hidden characters.
  • Stopped/started the Plex server.
  • Cleared browser cache several times, after many of these steps.
  • Tried a different browser ( Chromium).
  • Added an extra line of garbage text at line 25. This line appeared in the Plex lyric display, but the phantom line was still there, moved down to 26.
  • Disabled Lyricfind agent to ensure Plex wasn’t conflating online and local lyrics. This was a bit of a longshot, as the phantom line doesn’t exist in Lyricfind’s version. (This may have revealed another problem. When Lyricfind agent was disabled, Lyricfind lyrics were still available in Plex)
  • Renamed the .lrc and the .txt files, so local lyrics would not be there at all. Then added them back.
  • Did the ‘Plex Dance.’
  • Checked to see if there were lyrics embedded within the track’s metadata. There were, and I deleted them, but the phantom line wasn’t in them anyway. (Plex doesn’t read these, but just to be sure…)

The phantom line survived all of the above steps. I’m at a complete loss.

I have attached the .lrc file (extension is changed so the forum will allow it). If someone from Plex needs the music file to test this out, please PM me.

It looks like the lines are not sorted by their time stamps.

That was it. Nice catch. Somehow the timestamp on line 28 got out of whack.
