Trying to get my PMS to start finding extras for movies automatically. Followed the instructions here with no luck: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202934883
The steps say to go to the Plex Movie metadata agent. Problem is, I do not see a Plex Movie metadata agent. Am I missing something obvious? Or am I just an idiot who is regressing with technology?
Which Plex server version are you using?
Do you see the Settings icon in Plex Web?

The agent in question is under:
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie

‘Plex Movie’ is the successor of the Freebase agent
If you are using TheMovieDatabase as your default movie agent, you need to activate Freebase in this screen. Just put a checkmark in front of the line.
And maybe it is time to update your server software?
and if you ever want to use an MP4 file without unnecessary itch and swelling, leave Local Media Assets checked, but move it to the bottom of every list you have.
I’m with Otto - update your PMS, for cryin’ out loud.
