Failed to get a decision

Server Version#: 4.132.3
Player Version#: Any (web version, as well as any other player (up to date)
Plex Subscription#: Plex Pass Member

Dear community,
I am facing a wierd issue with my plex server.

All the media is on a NAS share (TrueNAS Scale) which is hosted as a VM within Proxmox. Also within Proxmox there is an LXC container, with a debian OS running plex media server. It maps all the media to the lxc path /media successfully, I can browse the directory and even modify individual files.
Plex Media Server sees all the files and folders and creates the library including rating etc successfully.

Now when attempting to play an episode, a movie or a music track, the player fails with an error message saying:

Playback Error:
An error occurred trying to play “Episode 1”.
Error code: s1001 (Network)

It does not matter what player I use, all of 'em report the same error when attempting to play any item (Episode, Movie or Music Track).

In the server log I can see the following message:
Jul 01, 2024 04:23:20.454 [136232002661176] ERROR - Failed to get a decision for: /media/TVShows/Altered Carbon (2018) [tvdb-332331]…mkv

It does not appear to be a network error, does it?
So I have setup another plex media server on windows that maps the NAS share as well, which works fine.
Playing the files using vlc directly from the NAS location works perfectly too.

Anybody has some idea as to why I get this message and plex won’t play any media no more on the LXC plex server? It did work once and I have not made much changes since… but I failed to get the lxc version to successfully play the media for some reason.

Permissions seems to be fine too as I can browse the path, see the files and even modify them using the LXC container. Hence I am at an empass and do not know how to proceed any further. Any help or idea would be greatly appreciated and I would really love to stick with the lxc version!

Thanks very much
Best regards
Chris
