Server Version#: Plex Web - General tab Version 4.148.0
Player Version#: Plexamp (Android) v4.12.4
Bit of an odd issue I’m having. I’m listening to audiobooks hosted on my plex server, but being played on my android using the Plexamp app.
This afternoon I started having a very weird issue; after playing all day without issue my playback paused without prompting, and when I hit play to resume the play/pause button cycles, hangs on playing for a few seconds then goes back to pause. No external connections, no audio when the playback is supposedly happening, and skipping back to the last chapter didn’t allow for playback.
I’ve closed/reopened the app, cycle booted my phone, and confirmed the media hasn’t been corrupted (it plays off my desktop plex server).
Any suggestions as to where I can find logs in Plexamp to diagnose?
It could be an issue with the sound interface.
Are you sometimes using a “removable” sound interface, like Bluetooth speakers/earbuds, or an external DAC?
If you do, enter the Plexamp Settings - Playback - Audio Output
and verify the setings.
I’m using plexamp via the android app, not pc, but the issue appears to be transitory.
I rebooted my android which didnt make a difference, then updated my plex server (i was one minor revision behind). Following the plex server update I was able to get the app to start playing again, but that seems more correlative rather than causitive.
