Trying to upgrade to the latest version of PMS (1.1.3.2700). I am currently on 1.1.0.2611. The upgrade will download but then goes into never-never-land while trying to install. I have tried several time and it “freezes” in install mode for several hours. The only way out is to abort and start up PMS again and in the old version.
Any ideas?
Running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 on an iMac.
There was an issue with the web update interface and this was fixed in version 1.1.2 of Plex Media Server.
Updates from 1.1.2 or later should be ok
Download 1.1.3.2700 manually from https://plex.tv/downloads and install it manually - remembering to exit / shut down plex media server beforehand
With the server closed I downloaded it as a new app, and opened it on my Mac it recognized my library, then I deleted the old file. Worked for me.
