Problem upgrading to the new version of PMS

I have the plex media server installed on a mac mini that is running version 1.1.0.2611. I get a notification that a new version (1.7.6.4058) is available and when I try to upgrade, the new version gets downloaded but the installation never completes.

My mac mini configuration is as follows:

  • OSX Sierra (10.10.5)
  • Late 2014 model
  • 8GB RAM
  • 2.6 ghz core i5

Any help in solving this issue will be appreciated.
