Is there a way to create favorite channels or something? I’d like quicker access to the channels that I normally watch. Having a hard time figuring that out?
Not currently, but it is something we are looking into.

This is something that is really needed. When my HDHomeRun Prime scanned my cable card it picked up over 500 channels. Many of course are duplicate and I’m only interested in the HD channels. But with the current Plex interface, i have no idea if a channel is HD or not. If I could at least see the channel number I would know.
Ideally I should be able to just type in the channel number and go to that channel. I’m trying to sell my wife on dropping our X1 DVRs and HD fees but this solution ain’t cutting it.

Fortunately in Australia the Freeview channels are marked HD, unfortunately no Australian HomeRun DVR with Pay TV ability.

The bottom of the thumbnail shows the channel number for me. It’s a pain having to scroll from Channel 2 to 802 to watch HD TV, though… A filter would be nice, too.

I’m in the same boat. I have about 560 channels and of course the Channel I want to watch is 521. So every night I have to scroll through the guide all the way to channel 521. I switched to Emby because of this. So now it’s kind of goofy, I have emby for live TV and Plex for movies. Once this feature has implemented I’ll probably switch back. Although Plex employees not responding to tech issues with the sw is kind of disappointing.

Plex has had HUGE improvements over the past couple months. Been pretty successful in having Plex employees respond which has been great. New improvements on the user interface, stability and customization has caused me to move back to Plex. Just waiting on the favorite channels option as I still have too many channels to scroll through! Wanted to keep this thread alive and hope to build enough support for Plex to implement a favorite channels filter. This should be alot easier now since Plex actually has their own TV Guide data!
