Can anyone explain why Plex won’t have a favourites option when Emby has one ? Looks like people have been asking for a long time but it has just been ignored. I am not interested in playlists it’s not the same as having a favourites page.

Can’t you just make a Collection cslled favourites snd add to that?
It won’t work the same as a favourites section would.
I have used Emby but never really used Favourites.
I prefer plex myself I just wanted to have a favourites section I just cannot understand why it’s so hard for plex to implement. I’ve just setup a playlist but every single episode is listed in a row so to get to something I will have to scroll down and find it. If I had a favourites section I just go to the show I want.

So, why wouldn’t a Collection work, other than one more step to open it?

I have a few. Just add a Collection tag to the show.
Like this. You can give the Collection a Sort name like 001 Favourites so it’s at the beginning of your Collections.
You could also create a smart playlist with a filter that specifies, for example, 5 stars, then mark your favorites with 5 stars.
