[Feature Request] Ability to create tagged libraries

Would love to see the ability to create tagged libraries. Most of us have two main video folders, Movies and TV Shows. Some of us would love to have a library that was a filtered list such as “Kids Movies”. Now all the files themselves will remain in the main “Movies” folder. I am aware of creating a new Library and symlinking ( youtube.com/watch?v=uBeOcqSi30o ) the movies over to a new folder but that is not ideal for 90% of people that would like a point and click easy method.

I have attached screenshots of how I think it should look/function. It will work similar to tagging “Collections” but movies and/or shows tagged could be filtered in a custom Library that would show up on all clients.

Couldn’t this be done with a Playlist ?

Create a Playlist based on a Collection (Kids Movies) and every time a film gets added to that collection it automatically gets added to the Playlist

Would playlists be available to all “Friends” and other local accounts on the server? The point is to have sub-selections of Movies that can be easily browsed by all users (local and remote not just single account).

This sounds like a variation on this request.

If Plex was open source I would attempt to code the feature myself. I can’t find much on the development/plugin aspect of Plex, and what I could find doesn’t indicate plugins can tie in at key points in the main app itself.
