Feature Request - Additional Home Screen Customization and Reordering

Currently, home screen customization is very limited. As it is, you can turn different recommendation options for each library, but each library must have all of their recommendations grouped together. I.e. Continue Watching, then ALL of your movie recommendations, then ALL of your TV recommendations.

Because of this, I have to leave all movie recommendations (other than recently added) off so that the “Recently added TV” shows don’t get buried under a bunch of categories. It would be very nice to be able to manually order individual recommendation types on my home page, instead of only being able to organize by library.

For example, It would be great to be able to have something like:

Continue Watching
Recently Added Movies
Recently Added TV
Top Unwatched Movies
Top Unwatched TV
More (movies) with (actor)
More in Genre (TV)
etc.

I just wish I could turn on more recommendations for my movies, without it meaning that recently added TV would have to be moved to the bottom. Even an option to “Pin recently Added to top” would be a huge help.

That’s how it was a long long time ago. The Home has been very controversial since it’s inception but manual ordering was definitely phased out last year I believe. There was manually ordering. Then Home had a revamp multiple times, with the additional perk of automatic dynamic rows, giving users the option for the choice of manual or automatic. Automatic was eventually chosen as the successor and manual ordering was no longer available.

Interesting. I don’t remember this option, and have been doing it for a while, but I used to have a much smaller TV library. I’d love for them to take a look at this.

Each library has its own Recommendations page as well. And you can turn on/off hubs on that page independently from the general Home page.

Thank you, I am aware that that is an option, and I have customized the “recommended” pages for each of my libraries - it would just be nice to have all recommendations in one place on the home. I know that a lot of my remote users only view Library when looking at the libraries, and never or rarely go to the “recommended” tab, so the home is the easiest way to get those in front of them.
