Guys, plex doesn’t listen.

Example: Fourm post going back to 2012 with 1200+ votes which needs little to no coding to implement however they cannot even be bothered to do it. Even though their paying customers are asking.

You guys can have an argument on the best way to argue somewhere else, it’s not helping here. I agree DavisNL’s initial claim that there are small improvements which would be helpful and a step in the right direction, the lack of stepping at all is a concern. Adding the filename, even if it was clunky and ugly, is preferable to the current design. The majority of software development is done with small tweaks and iteration. Hours of brainstorming and arguing only gets you so far. Clearly there …

MY suggestion for this feature years ago:

Summary:
Logging into my plex server Locally: Have the option to setup Plex so the only authenication you need on the local network is your managed user name and PIN. NO Online login
Logging in my plex server remotely via the internet: How it’s setup currently. When you first access the server ask for a Plex.tv login, then once logged in and confirmed they have access to my server ask for the managed user details.
