[Feature Request] Edit default section icons

I'd like to see the ability to customize the icon used for the sections themselves under "Edit Section", similar to how you can "Change Poster" or "Change Background" with a media file.

 


 

Currently I have multiple "Movie" sections (i.e. movies for my daughter, movies for my son, movies for Mom & Dad, etc.) and when navigating through them there is no differentiation.  So when I'm looking for a movie for my daughter I scroll through the list stopping at each one rather than jumping quickly to the custom icon for the one I want.

 

Perhaps this is client specific...the Plex native clients are more friendly as they show the section title but my TV's are driven by Roku devices which do not show any section title.

 

This feature request may also do what I'm looking for if that is a better way to implement:

Until this is added to Plex itself, you can try doing the following if you want to. I did, and it was fairly easy to do, and I'm much happier now with the Section Icons I use (I also have 3 Roku clients here in my house).

Correct, however it apparently doesn't hurt them ether... it works for the Roku and Webclient, and when you think of BIF support also being Roku only it is hard to argue against new features even if they have limited client support.

i searched for this before i made m own thread. I have different librearies for many different type of videos. I would love to be able to change their icon. =D i know you guys are working hard with under the hood functionality, but dont forget aesthetics are as important.
