I swear this used to be a feature I could be wrong, but I think it would be cool to see the time when the media you are watching will end. I use my server to host my DVD’s and sometimes when watching before bed I’m not sure if I have enough time left to watch something. I think it would be good to just have a clock on the player that tells you when the movie or show should end without pauses.
Plex Media Player has that. It’ll show the current time + progress on the left and total duration + end time on the right side of the progress bar.
Plex for Windows/macOS only shows the total video duration and progress / remaining time (switches when you click on it). I take it the consideration is that this client is running in windowed mode, so you usually have the OS showing the time anyway…
I have listed this as Plex for Windows as it doesn’t show up on there either, but I also don’t get this on the mobile app or on the TV and Fire Stick apps. Is there a setting you can turn on, or is “Plex Media Player” specifically a different app to the regular “Plex” app?
Plex Media Player is a separate app. You can currently only download it from the related release announcement thread. It’s more focused on a home-theatre setup with a tc layout.
Ah right I see that would explain it then, thank you!
